The market of notebooks is growing at incredible big rates in the country; recent statistics show an increase in sales of more than 100% in 2007, compared to 2006.
There are a few reasons: the dollar has been getting weaker and weaker against the Brazilian currency; the Government has been cutting taxes on computers and notebooks; Brazil is one of the countries participating in the US$100 notebook project, led by MIT.
The growth is expected to continue over the next years.
